Restaurant Niinipuu is an atmospheric restaurant in a farmyard in Puumala, Niinisaari on the shores of Lake Saimaa. The restaurant serves Finnish, tasty local food, such as fish from Saimaa, mushrooms from the local forest, blueberry pie made in a rye basket, and other local ingredients, with a speciality of genuine plank-smoked salmon from Puumala and rainbow trout. Lake fish, such as vendace, are sourced from local fishermen.
The restaurant's charming courtyard has been recognised for its uniqueness.
